I called on a Saturday afternoon with an urgent plumbing issue, and I was pleasantly surprised when a real person answered. Within 45 minutes, Trey was at my door. He quickly assessed the situation, put my mind at ease, and provided a temporary solution so my family could continue using the water until the repair could be completed. When Trey and his team returned to complete the job, the experience went from good to exceptional. They worked efficiently, completed the necessary repairs inside my basement and throughout my yard, and had everything finished by 5pm. They even found a way to get their equipment into my yard without damaging my privacy fence. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. I called Monday morning about a backed up basement drain and a truck was out that afternoon. They snaked twice and found the main pipe had rusted through. For almost three hours work they only charged a service call and were willing to leave it at $89 if I wanted to go elsewhere. I had them replace the pipe which they did by the end of the next day. The inspector had viewed the company’s work before and assured me they did good work on previous jobs he inspected also. Wouldn’t hesitate to call again.

We had such a great experience with this company. It was 10 PM when we found our basement backing up from the sewer. We called two other companies to come out and help us. Neither company could come out at late notice (and they didn’t want to give us any recommendations on other companies). We finally had to Google a company and found drain detectives. They came out within an hour and solved our problem for the night to get us to a good point.  They then returned the next day to complete the project and solve it. I'm writing to thank Drain Detectives for a job well-done with our plumbing issues!!  What we thought was a small leak in the basement, from the dishwasher turned into major project.  Jack hammer and dig up broken pipe of old cast iron in the basement!  Tre and his crew were outstanding!  It was a very messy project, but everything turned out beautiful in the end.  Working with Jackie helped move the project thru smoothly. I'm grateful that we stumbled upon them online. I learned of Drain Detectives from my neighbor who recommended them highly. They definitely lived up to the hype!!! Jackie, Tre and the whole team are prompt, courteous, responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, reasonable, honest and very fair. Their workmanship is great. My home is about 50 years old.i bought it last year and it’s at an age where there are issues that need to be addressed. The team has been great about diagnosing problems and suggesting solutions at varying price points. I also appreciate their recommendations on timing and urgency. Another important thing when service professionals are in your home is that they are focused on maintaining the space and always clean up after they are done. We had an emergency with our shower drain and had actually called another plumbing company that couldn’t fit us in until 2 days later. We called Drain Detectives and they showed up in 15 minutes. This place is a joke! They DO NOT stand behind their work and the technicians don't know what the hell they doing. Technician Tre' Lang installed a new sump pump which caused a backup in my basement the next day, then claimed it was because the outside pipes was backed up. They sent another technician to do some pipe work, but it was December and the ground was froze so he didn't do it correctly. I called them back out in April 2026 to correct the piping because it was pumping out causing my backyard to flood. They sent Tre' back again and had the nerve to send a new guy with him. If he training him then he will be just as terrible as him. He told me i would have to pay $1400 to get them to snake out the city main drain. I told him i should not have to pay because this problem was caused by piping not being done correctly in cold December. I called the office and the lady secretary told me she would talk to a manager and call me back. SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I should be suing this company because none of these problems happened before they did work on my property. Thanks to them, i had to pay $2400 for a water restoration company to get the water out of my basement. This company is shameful and needs to shut down!!!! Do yourself a favor and find a company that actually cares about their customers and stands behind their work... ***UPDATE *** I am happy to edit this review about the work and service Drain Detectives provides. The manager "Tracey" contacted me to get my issue resolved. She sent out another more experienced technician "Luke" and he did a great job. After several heavy rains, we noticed water collecting near the side of the house, so we installed an improved drainage channel system. The crew regraded affected areas and added proper drainage pathways to direct water away from the foundation. The project took about three days. Compared to before, water now drains properly without pooling near the house. It also gave us peace of mind during storms because we no longer worry about long-term moisture damage.
